If you’ve spent time inside an RV, you probably noticed how noisy the A/C unit can be!
Well, one of our favorite RV products fixes that problem by reducing the noise of ducted RV air conditioners! Sounds kinda Wacko? The patented RV A/C Silencer by WackO Products (he really did name the company after people telling him the idea was Wacko, haha) replaces the grates, filter and hardware on the ceiling of your RV A/C and attaches with simple screws to existing holes in the mounting plate. This might have been the first (or definitely in our initial order of RV accessories) item we purchased when hitting the road full-time back in 2018. A combination of a proprietary piece of hardware compatible with all types of motorhomes, travel trailers and 5th wheels (that installs with two screws) and a dead-simple app for your phone, you can get this setup in about 5 minutes. In summary of the process, after you have manually leveled the RV as close as possible to level, you find any flat surface in the RV (we hid ours inside the pantry), facing in any direction, attach it permanently to the surface with two screws, install the small watch battery, and then fire up the app. The app will find your LevelmatePro and walk you through the initial setup (which includes entering the length, width, distance between your axles, etc).
Set the level once, and from now on you just fire up the app on your phone to see exactly how to return to that position. A quick tip; when able to pick our own site or out boondocking in the wilderness, we will open the app to get real-time info about how level a particular spot is to speed up the setup process. Sometimes just pulling forward or backing up a small amount can make a big difference with leveling your RV!
